Cohen are scheduled to present "What to Do When Someone Wants to Buy the Business" at the Friday session of the upcoming TexasBarCLE Essentials of Business Law Course. They will discuss different structures for merger & acquisition transactions, how to get money out of your business transactions, indemnity and post-closing adjustments.
The two-day event will be March 6-7 in Houston at the Crown Plaza River Oaks Hotel, and 12.75 hours of MCLE credit (three hours of ethics) are available.

Trump Administration Provides Some Guidance on DEI Programs
Following up on the Trump Administration’s series of executive orders and statements regarding diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEI or DEIA) programs, on February 5, 2025, both the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) and the United States Attorney General Office issued memoranda reflecting additional guidance as to what may constitute an “illegal” DEI or DEIA program and directing enforcement action.
