Cybersecurity attorney Edward H. Block will present “Legal and Ethical Issues with Bitcoin and Underlying Technology Blockchain” as part of Gardere's CLE program Sept. 15.
Bitcoin is an internet currency that is unregulated by governments and banks, yet clients utilize Bitcoin as a form of monetary exchange. As a result it important to understand the legal and ethical responsibilities to best serve our clients. Blockchain is the technology that allows Bitcoin to function, and many businesses are starting to rely on Blockchain to manage and protect data including real property deed records, banking, and healthcare. This presentation will help provide you with a better understanding of Bitcoin and Blockchain.
