Gardere corporate partner Glenn T. Singleton, chair of the firm’s venture capital and emerging business group and co-chair of its private equity team, moderated a panel Nov. 7 on North Texas’ investment climate. The panel was part of a larger event focusing on connecting emerging businesses with eligible investors.
Event attendee and partner with Mercury Fund, Aziz Giani, commented, “This event showed me some companies that were not on my startup radar, even though I spend a good amount of time at The Dallas Entrepreneur Center, so I tip my hat to Glenn. He threw out a wide enough net to present startups that we don’t typically see.”
Singleton’s practice is split between serving as transaction counsel in equity and debt financings, mergers and acquisitions, and other complex business transactions, while also serving as outside general counsel and trusted adviser to clients, assisting them in contract drafting and negotiation, risk mitigation, and asset protection. Glenn is a co-founder of Gardere Catalyst, an early-stage legal incubator program for select early-stage, high-growth potential startups.
