Foley Senior Counsel Steve Millendorf, CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPM, FIP, and Associate Kathryn Parsons-Reponte, CIPP/US, both members of the firm’s Technology Transactions & Outsourcing Practice, will speak at the upcoming International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) virtual San Diego KnowledgeNet Chapter meeting on Thursday, September 17, 2020. They will co-present an overview of the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) of 2020, an initiative on the November 2020 ballot that, if adopted, would significantly amend the existing California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) to further increase and clarify the privacy rights of California residents as well as introduce new privacy and security requirements for businesses. Steve and Kathryn will be joined on the program by Elaine Harwell, CIPP/US, CIPM, a business litigation attorney at Procopio, Cory, Hargreaves & Savitch LLP.
