A robust patent portfolio can provide great value to an organization. But building and maintaining the portfolio must be done strategically. This program will go over some patent law basics and discuss how to identify patentable innovations, how to determine whether patent protection should be sought, and how best to educate scientists, engineers, and management about the importance of patent protection. Also covered will be a brief overview of how to navigate a patent application successfully through the USPTO.
