In an article on whether the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) will begin to regulate Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. for providing services traditionally provided by banks, Partner Michael Leffel noted that placing regulations on larger participants may sweep in additional retailers that provide financial services under the CFPB’s review.
