Partner Kevin Hyde was quoted in a Forbes article published on September 6, 2013 titled “The Era of Internships Are Over, Never Hire An Intern Again.” The article discusses how lawsuits against employers by unpaid interns are becoming common and very public. Hyde indicates that realistically, any attorney or legal professional is going to suggest paying interns a minimum wage. He also also mentions that a class action legal bill starts at $100,000 dollars. Any lawsuit by an intern is going to be significantly more expensive than just paying them – outright.
