Partner Gardner Davis was quoted in an article published in the Jacksonville Business Journal on April 2, 2014, titled “Business Lessons from the Bitter Breakup of Jacksonville’s Sweet Pete’s.” The article outlined the importance of having a plan in place to handle the potential dissolution of a company in the wake of Jacksonville candy shop, Sweet Pete’s, going out of business. Davis was quoted saying, “At the outset of any business partnership, the co-owners need a shareholder’s agreement addressing how business will be managed and how they will sever it.”
