Partner Carrie Hoffman Comments on UPS Driver Pregnancy Discrimination Suit

Law360 spoke with Partner Carrie B. Hoffman, head of the Firm's Labor and Employment practice, about the recent U.S. Supreme Court agreement to review and clarify a former UPS Inc. driver's pregnancy discrimination suit that could impact the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission guidance on the issue. "There is potential that this future ruling will conflict with the EEOC's guidance, when published, on these issues," Ms. Hoffman said. "This will further complicate how employers deal with the pregnancy and accommodation issues."
