Partner Chris Converse Featured in Law360 Dealmakers Q&A

Gardere Partner Chris Converse was recently featured in Law360's Dealmakers Q&A series. Mr. Converse is chair of the Firm's Securities and Corporate Governance Team.

As a participant in series, Mr. Converse discussed his deal experience and shared his perspective on tax reform, industry trends and what it takes to be a successful dealmaker.

"My number one piece of advice is to build relationships with those persons and institutions that are best positioned to execute on transactions. These days, much of the middle-market deals being consummated have some connection to private equity. The private equity firms executing these transactions come in all shapes and sizes, both funded and fundless; it is the proliferation of these small to mid-sized PE shops that is driving the current uptick in deal activity in the middle market."
