HBJ Ranks Gardere as one of Houston's Largest Energy, Bankruptcy and M&A Law Firms
The Houston Business Journal released its "Largest Houston-Area Law Firms" lists – a special supplement to their annual "Who's Who in Law List" – ranking Gardere as one of Houston's largest law firms in the areas of energy, bankruptcy, and mergers and acquisitions. Information for the lists were obtained from questionnaires completed by Firm representatives. In order to qualify, a lawyer must spend at least 75 percent of their billable hours working on cases related to that specific industry.
For energy, the HBJ featured Partners Timothy M. Spear, Peter Scaff and N.L. Stevens III. John P. Melko, who chairs the Firm's Financial Restructuring and Reorganization Practice, and Gardere Chair Holland N. O'Neil, were recognized for bankruptcy. Daniel L. Cohen, chair of the Houston Corporate Practice, Gardere Vice Chair Eric A. Blumrosen and Partner Greg Meeks were recognized for mergers and acquisitions.
