Public Affairs Director Jason Childress was recognized and awarded the very first “Marc Marotta Award” for his Wisconsin state legislative lobbying efforts on behalf of National Heritage Academies (NHA). Childress led an effort to successfully expand the number of charter school authorizers in Wisconsin, providing opportunities for NHA to expand in their mission to serve children with high quality public charter schools.
National Heritage Academies partners with authorizing entities to build and manage no-cost public charter schools in nine states and is the largest for profit operator of charter schools in the country. Mr. Childress’ leadership, integrity and client service exemplified those of the late Mr. Marc Marotta (whom the award is named after).
