Foley Represented Pacific Gas and Electric Company in Strategic Alliance

Foley represented Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E), one of the largest utilities in the United States with approximately 16 million customers in Northern and Central California, in the negotiation and formation of a strategic alliance with TransCanyon, LLC to jointly pursue competitive transmission opportunities solicited by the California Independent System Operator Corporation (CAISO), the operator for the majority of California’s transmission grid. TransCanyon is a joint venture of Berkshire Hathaway Energy and Pinnacle West Capital Corporation (the owner of Arizona Public Service). PG&E announced the closing of the alliance transaction in a press release issued on April 7.
