Foley & Lardner LLP announced today that Jocelyn Lavallo has joined the firm’s Finance & Financial Institutions Practice and Energy Industry Team as of counsel in the New York office.
Lavallo counsels clients through the financing, development, purchase and sale of energy and infrastructure projects, with a primary focus on solar and wind transactions in the United States. She regularly represents financial institutions and developers in a variety of complex project financings, including partnership flips, sales leasebacks, asset acquisitions and sales, along with construction and term debt financings.
“We are thrilled to welcome Jocelyn to our energy team. Her energy financing experience will be an incredible asset to our clients and colleagues as we continue to enhance our energy industry offerings,” said Jeff Atkin, co-chair of Foley’s Energy Industry Team.
Lavallo’s experience includes leading numerous financing transactions involving utility solar and wind projects and several hundred commercial distributed generation solar projects. She advises clients in the development of financing programs for new technologies, such as LED lighting, fuel cells and combined heat and power plants. In addition to her financing experience, Lavallo has extensive experience with power purchase agreements, net metering credit purchase agreements, construction and maintenance contracts, state REC contracts and other project documents.
“As our clients explore opportunities in the expanding energy industry, Jocelyn will be able to provide an array of options and hands-on perspective,” said Peter Wang, managing partner of Foley’s New York office.
Prior to joining Foley, Lavallo was counsel at Chadbourne & Parke LLP.
