Partner and litigation lawyer Mark Wolfson was one of two local attorneys to receive the 2017 “Outstanding Pro Bono Service by a Lawyer Award” given by the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit and the Hillsborough Attorneys Volunteer Efforts (H.A.V.E.) a Heart program.
In 2016 alone, Wolfson contributed 175 pro bono hours on behalf of the Bay Area Volunteer Lawyers Program of Bay Area Legal Services. He has completed pro bono cases involving guardianship and guardian advocacy for developmentally disabled young adults, and has taken on additional pro bono cases that were originally difficult to place with attorneys. Wolfson also regularly participates in the Legal Help Clinic at Metropolitan Ministries in Tampa.
In addition, as Foley’s pro bono chairman in Tampa, Wolfson has increased the amount of Foley attorneys who participate in pro bono work, including business lawyers who work on non-profit matters as well as individual cases.
