Labor and Employment Co-Chair Carrie Hoffman Discusses Industry Predictions With National Law Journal
Gardere partner Carrie Hoffman, co-chair of the firm’s labor and employment practice, spoke with the National Law Journal on issues that employers and human resources practitioners can expect to see as the year unfolds.
According to Hoffman, professionals need to prepare themselves for an increase in workplace complaints: “I’ve had a handful of clients send me their PowerPoints used for sexual harassment presentations and ask, ‘Is this enough?’”
Hoffman defends clients throughout the U.S. in significant employment litigation at both the federal and state court level, including class and collective actions. She also represents employers in investigations and audits by agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Texas Workforce Commission, the National Labor Relations Board and the Department of Labor.
