Jacquot Named General Counsel for Incoming Florida Governor and his Administration

Partner Joe Jacquot has been appointed as Chief Legal Advisor and General Counsel to Florida Governor-elect Ron DeSantis and his Administration. The Governor’s inauguration is on January 8, 2019.
Jacquot has an extensive legal and political background. He is a former Florida chief Deputy Attorney General, and was involved in the state’s challenge to the constitutionality of the Affordable Care Act, which was ultimately heard by the U.S. Supreme Court. Jacquot also successfully argued in the U.S. Supreme Court in a criminal prosecution. Earlier in his career Jacquot was the Deputy Chief Counsel of the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee.
