The American City Business Journals
Partner Daniel (Dan) Kaplan was quoted in an article in The American City Business Journals titled “Omicron sharpens labor pains for short-staffed businesses” that discusses how the Omicron variant is currently challenging employers by way of staffing shortages.
Kaplan shared that his clients are seeing considerably more absences, which is leading to more mask requirements and additional encouragement to be vaccinated. He added, “Employers need employees. If employees quit because they are mandated to get a vaccination — that is not good for employers. Similarly, if employees are ill because they are unvaccinated and therefore out of the workforce, even temporarily, that too is bad for employers.”
