Judith Waltz Co-Authors Article on Refreshing Existing Compliance Programs
Foley & Lardner LLP partner Judith Waltz co-authored the article, “OIG’s General Compliance Program Guidance: How to Refresh Existing Compliance Programs,” published in the Journal of Health Care Compliance.
In the article, Waltz and co-author Shannon Sumner, Managing Principal and Chief Compliance Officer at PYA, P.C., assess themes, insights, and action items from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General’s (OIG) General Compliance Program Guidance (GCPG) published in November 2023.
“As noted, adopting the recommendations in the GCPG is not mandatory,” the authors conclude. “However, the GCPG provides opportunities for a fresh look at existing compliance programs, and guidance in developing new programs.”
