With the speed of competition accelerating, Solomon advises that IP assets be safeguarded earlier in the product life cycle to maximize protection, outlining a three-phase model to do so. “Intellectual property should be properly integrated during product development, and each IP asset should be considered and timely filed,” Solomon writes.
