The Best Lawyers in America® has released their 2008 guide and 156 Foley attorneys have been named to the list. Please note that 35 attorneys have been included in the guide for at least 10 consecutive years, and 13 attorneys have been named Best Lawyers® for at least 20 years, indicated by the (10) and (20) next to their names. The asterisk denotes that this is the first year the attorney has been listed.
The 2008 edition is the 14th edition of The Best Lawyers in America. Best Lawyers is based on peer-review surveys in which attorneys throughout the country cast nearly a half million votes on the legal abilities of other lawyers in their specialties. Corporate Counsel magazine has called Best Lawyers “the most respected referral list of attorneys in practice.”
Lawyers were selected for inclusion in Best Lawyers based on an exhaustive and rigorous peer-review that has been developed and refined for nearly 25 years. Lawyers are not allowed to pay a fee to be listed. Best Lawyers publishes an advertisement-free book each year to honor all those chosen – something that no other survey does.
