Ganoza and Califa noted that businesses are spending billions of dollars a year on social media influencers to expand their marketing and outreach, but need to be aware of the legal implications of social media influencer marketing. The lawyers noted recent cases where businesses have run afoul of FTC regulations and provide best practices for businesses to follow to avoid an FTC violation with social media influencer marketing.
