Foley attorney Sarah Key authored an article titled “Glaxo’s big, fat attack on dietary supplements” in the August 11, 2008 issue of the National Law Journal. The article addresses the regulatory and constitutional implications of a citizen petition submitted to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration by GlaxoSmithKline. The petition calls for the FDA to prohibit “structure/function” claims for dietary supplements that expressly or impliedly reference weight loss.
