Green Construction — Avoiding the Black Holes of Environmentally Friendly Construction Techniques

This Foley Executive Briefing Series program explored the “nuts and bolts” issues that can arise during construction projects intended to meet LEED certification requirements. Featuring insight from Foley business and litigation attorneys as well as representatives from a national REIT and a major construction company, this program addressed:

• Developer experience in designing, delivering, and leasing green buildings
  
• Practical, “on-the-ground” construction issues when building for LEED certification
  
• Drafting contracts to minimize liability related to green construction
  
• Potential consequences of failing to meet LEED certification and other green regulations
