Foley Partner and chair of the Securities, Commodities & Exchange Regulation Practice George Simon was quoted in an article titled “Settling Down” in the March-April 2009 issue of CFA Magazine. Simon provides insight into the short-term impact of an April 2003 global research analyst settlement on Wall Street research, noting that the settlement had a positive effect on research as there is now a clear distinction as to which analysts are involved in investment banking and which are strictly research based.
