Strong Demand and Scope of Client Needs Prompt Return to National Platform.

Foley announced today that Judy O’Neill has returned to the firm and to its Bankruptcy and Business Reorganizations Practice. She will be based in the Detroit office. O’Neill had previously left the firm to form Harrington, Dragich & O’Neill PLLC.

“The convergence of my automotive industry experience, the Chrysler filing and the anticipated GM filing has resulted in a level of demand that requires an integrated national platform with deep capabilities,” said O’Neill. “I am very pleased to be practicing once again within Foley’s well-recognized and highly regarded national bankruptcy practice.”

“We are very pleased to have Judy back with us,” said Mark Prager, chair of Foley’s Bankruptcy and Business Reorganizations Practice. “She is one of the most recognized attorneys among the Detroit bankruptcy bar and within the automotive industry. Our clients will benefit greatly from her counsel.”

O’Neill expanded on the need for a national platform: “The automotive crisis is national in scope, with filings taking place in New York and elsewhere. Foley’s strong national platform affords our sophisticated clients the capabilities needed to serve their needs in these difficult economic times.”
