Foley Partner Harold Wegner and Of Counsel Philip Kiko were quoted in an article titled “House Hearing on Patent Reform Bill Dampens Expectations for Passage This Year” in the May 8, 2009 issue of BNA’s Patent, Trademark & Copyright Journal. Kiko discusses the final enactment of reform legislation in the 111th Congress, noting that there is a lot more work to be done, with a number of questions left to resolve. Wegner speaks on the upcoming Supreme Court vacancy and its effect on the reform process, adding that the vacancy promises to shift the energy of the Senate Judiciary Committee for several weeks—or months—to the confirmation process.
