Neuberger Quoted on Mobile Devices in the Workplace
15 June 2011
The South Florida Sun Sentinel
Foley Of Counsel Mark Neuberger was quoted in an article that appeared in The South Florida Sun Sentinel on June 15, 2011 titled “Who Pays for Smartphones on the Job is Evolving.” Neuberger discusses mobile devices in the workplace, stating that employees should assume that such devices used for work are not private, even if the device is paid for by the employee. He adds that the employer may not own the device, but does own the intellectual property accessed by workers on the device. Neuberger notes that employers can remove doubt as to ownership of a mobile device by purchasing them for employees.
