Partner Chris McKenna was quoted in an
Inside Counsel article, “
The Whys and Wherefores of Trade Secrets,” on March 5, 2015. The article discusses the importance of trade secret protection and provided ways to determine if a company should be utilizing trade secret IP protection. McKenna was quoted saying, “One way to look at it is that trade secrets are essentially a more valuable subset of confidential information. It’s proprietary, confidential information that companies protect through contractual safeguards and has certain economic value in keeping it a secret. The type of things typically protected includes technical and business information, like software source code, design documentation, technical specifications and product roadmaps.”
