Michael Maurer is an experienced Patent Agent II in the firm’s Mechanical and Electromechanical Practice Group. He has a deep background preparing and prosecuting domestic and international patent applications in technologies that include mechanical, electrical, energy efficiency, and controls aspects within advanced control systems, building equipment sustainability and optimization, electric and commercial vehicles, commercial work equipment, fire suppression systems, and outdoors products. Michael also has experience in the patent appeal process and in prosecuting reissue patent applications.

Prior to joining Foley, Michael interned at Snap-on Tools, where he aided in the mechanical design and testing of pneumatic impact wrenches.
