Paul A. Stewart is a business law partner with Foley & Lardner LLP, where he provides counsel in the areas of corporate and securities matters, including general business advice, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, financing, licensing, and securities compliance. He also provides advice and counseling regarding real estate development, acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and leasing. He is managing partner of the firm’s Palo Alto office, a former California chair of the Foley & Lardner LLP Business Law Department, and a former chair of the Health Care Business Counseling and Technology Practice.
Mr. Stewart's corporate clients include publicly traded and closely held businesses engaged in different aspects of health care, pharmaceuticals, technology, manufacturing, sales, and investment. He has represented clients in the formation of new business entities, capital and fund formation, merger and consolidation, sale and acquisition of stock and assets, general business matters, corporate governance, and liquidation and dissolution. Mr. Stewart also has extensive experience in real estate analysis, acquisition, development, construction, management, leasing and finance, and has assisted clients in the related formation of partnerships, joint ventures and syndications.
Education
Mr. Stewart graduated from the Yale Law School and Stanford University where he was Phi Beta Kappa.
