August 11, 2015
Foley helped NantKwest, Inc. (formerly known as Conkwest, Inc.) make history last week with an initial public offering (IPO) valuing the company at $2.6 billion, the highest ever IPO for a biotech company with no approved drugs.
Foley served as intellectual property counsel on the transaction and played a critical role in helping NantKwest develop a strong IP strategy and portfolio. Foley prepared more than 30 patent applications in advance of the client’s successful acquisition and IPO. The Foley team was led by Paul Stewart, Marc Morley, Simon Elliott, Jerry Swiss and Kristel Schorr.
