Max Traut is an associate and business lawyer with Foley & Lardner LLP, where he is a member of the firm’s Finance & Financial Institutions Practice.
Mr. Traut was a summer associate with Foley in 2014. During law school, he gained experience as a law clerk at the Cook County Public Defender’s Office and served as a research assistant at the University of Iowa College of Law. Additionally, Mr. Traut served as a judicial extern to The Honorable Ann Claire Williams for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
Prior to his legal career, Mr. Traut was an operations analyst and operations manager at Bank of America as part of the Operations Management Analyst Program.
Mr. Traut earned his law degree, with distinction, from The University of Iowa Law School (J.D., 2015), where he was a writer for the Journal of Corporation Law. He received his undergraduate degree, with honors, in management from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana (B.S., 2010).
Mr. Traut is admitted to practice in Wisconsin.
