Hoffman Explains Why Unemployment Benefits Could Be Forfeited with Refusal to Vaccinate

There are several reasons why someone could become ineligible for unemployment benefits, including voluntary resignation or termination for misconduct. But as explored in a recent Forbes Advisor article, “Won’t Get The Covid Vaccine? If You Lose Your Job, You May Not Get Unemployment Benefits,” the same could ring true for those who don’t comply with employer vaccine mandates.
In the article, Foley partner Carrie Hoffman explains that “Employers could argue that the refusal of the vaccine was a voluntary resignation or an involuntary termination for misconduct.”
