Lanza explores the opportunities and pitfalls inherent in the rise of generative artificial intelligence, and provides important insight on the AI models that have dominated headlines this year: OpenAI’s ChatGPT.
“Using ChatGPT, and other generative AI models, for commercial purposes can provide numerous, obvious benefits,” Lanza explained. “However, important legal considerations should be taken into account prior to using these tools. In particular, companies should be mindful of their obligations under copyright law and should have a thoughtful approach to using generative AI tools to minimize the disclosure of confidential information.”
