Jay Yoon is a litigation associate in the Commercial Litigation Practice Group. Prior to joining Foley, he gained substantive experience with complex commercial disputes, federal government investigations, and white collar criminal trials during his summers at the firm and his internships with the U.S. Department of Justice in its Money Laundering and Asset Recovery Section and Austin U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Jay graduated from The University of Texas School of Law, where he was a member of the Texas Law Review, a mock trial tournament champion, and the student head of the first-year small group mentorship program. Before law school, he served as an artillery officer in the U.S. Marine Corps. After six years of active duty including multiple deployments throughout the Middle East and Asia, Jay left as a captain having successfully completed roles ranging from a platoon commander leading fifty-two Marines to an acquisition team leader managing the Marine Corps’ ground-based radar portfolio.
