Foley Partner Michael A. Bowen is pleased to participate in the Lorman Education Services teleconference titled, “Appealing Standards: Determining the Applicable Standard of Review,” being held on November 30 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. EDT. This teleconference is designed to assist attorneys and legal staff with two important jobs: prediction (telling clients what appellate courts are likely to do with a given case) and persuasion (getting the appellate courts to do it). The program will explore what the standards mean in the context of different types of issues that are theoretically governed by the same rule and explain how the standards can be effectively integrated into arguments and advocacy that will actually influence the way appellate courts decide cases and therefore the decisions that they make.
