Access to Capital: Impact of Health Reform on Capital Finance Formation for Health Care Providers
Foley is pleased to introduce a new Web conference series, Access to Capital, focusing on how health care institutions can raise capital in the current turbulent markets. Taking place throughout the next year, the interactive programs in this five-part series will feature Foley attorneys and industry leaders as they discuss and provide insight into a range of topics, including:
- Federal health care reform on capital formation issues
- A case study on the acquisition of a nonprofit health care provider by a national for-profit health care system
- The affiliation between nonprofit health care providers
- Private debt placement use and related issues
- Preparing for health care institution affiliation
On Thursday, June 7, Foley will launch the Web conference series with a panel discussion on how the new health care laws provide certain financial incentives and disincentives that are driving planning and capital formation, how hospitals and other providers have been impacted, and how they are preparing themselves for economic and financial success in the future, particularly in light of the uncertainty that now surrounds health reform. We also will examine how Massachusetts health care reform has impacted the Commonwealth’s hospitals.
Panelists
- Adria Warren, Senior Counsel, and Mark Waxman, Partner, Foley & Lardner LLP
- David M. Cyganowski, Managing Director, Kaufman, Hall & Associates, Inc.
