Attorneys Peter S. Vogel and Eddie Block will co-present “Cyber Risk to Clients (and Lawyers): Data Stored on the Cloud Storage Around the World” at the Dallas Bar Association’s International Law Section meeting.

In 2017 all businesses and lawyers operate on the worldwide internet, and given the scope of cybercrime, it is only a matter of time before every business has a cyber intrusion. The cloud is now the place that businesses and lawyers rely upon for data storage. Many organizations do not realize that the cloud knows no international boundaries, and the complexity of which international laws apply is critical for confidential business data. This presentation will discuss these risks and the importance of a well-planned and tested Incident Response Plan.
