Midwest Cyber Security Alliance Virtual Meeting: Prioritizing Cybersecurity Testing to Enhance Your Security Program
Security testing is a key component of a cybersecurity program and helps reduce your legal, regulatory, and compliance risk. Although security tools are extremely useful, there is evidence that more than half of all software vulnerabilities cannot be discovered using tools alone.
To understand where the human element comes in, join us at the next Midwest Cyber Security Alliance virtual meeting on Tuesday, September 21, 2021. We will provide tips on how your team can add significant value to the testing process to ensure the gaps in security testing are identified and analyzed before an attacker finds them.
Presenters from Foley & Lardner and fellow sponsor SysLogic, Inc. will also discuss:
- Understanding the different types of security testing and how they work hand–in–hand with your legal, compliance, and risk management programs
- Some of the vulnerability types that security tools often struggle to find, and how you can exploit these gaps
- Complementary protections, including:
- Developer training
- Security unit testing
- Third–party penetration testing
- Bug bounty programs
- Tips for smart investment in security testing tools
This presentation is intended for legal, compliance, risk, and technical roles. While some content is technical in nature, all staff responsible for your cybersecurity program will gain key insights to help protect your organization from cyber attacks.
