Foley Partner Emory Ireland was quoted in an article titled “Experts: Crisis over, recession not” in the July 10, 2009 issue of The Business Journal of Milwaukee. Ireland speaks on the state of the Wisconsin banking industry in the midst of an economic recession, predicting that commercial lending activity will remain slow in the second half of 2009 and early 2010. He adds that financially healthy banks are making loans, but conservatively and only to strong customers.
