Foley Partner Jay Rothman was quoted in an article titled “Stock offerings make comeback with uptick in market” in the October 7, 2009 issue of the Milwaukee Business Journal. Rothman discusses the resurgence of initial public stock offerings (IPOs) in the Milwaukee area, noting that companies have developed a pent-up demand for raising capital, whether to exit private-equity ownership or to de-lever their balance sheets. He adds that it may be premature for many companies to pursue IPOs before the economy shows stronger signs of improvement.
