Rubber & Plastics News
Detroit Partner Daljit Doogal was quoted in an article published in Rubber & Plastics News on July 29, 2013 titled “Auto firms passing warranty costs to vendors.” The article discusses how the emphasis on shared responsibility has worked its way from the auto makers down to all three tiers of the supply chain as vehicle manufacturers increasingly require contributions from suppliers for potential product liability, warranty and recall claims. Mr. Doogal was quoted saying, “In addition, if an issue arises down the supplier pipeline, the question for the Tier 1 is whether its Tier 2 and 3 suppliers are financially viable to pay should warranty exposures or claims occur.”
