This order follows BP's $22 million win in a contract suit over title defects on wells it purchased from Chesapeake. BP is represented by Gardere Litigation Partner David M. Bates.
Judge Vicki Miles-LaGrange wrote, "To the extent BP is seeking attorneys' fees and disbursements based upon the specific provisions within the PSA, the court finds that BP is entitled to attorneys' fees."
