Partner Irwin Raij was quoted in a Miami Herald article on February 15, 2014 titled, “Beckham’s soccer plans conflict with PortMiami’s business plan.” The article discusses how the nine acres David Beckham wants near the shallows of PortMiami’s southwest corner would upend the port’s own detailed plans for millions of dollars in new real estate income. Raij was quoted saying, “If I was a soccer team, I would be concerned about what kind of strain that would put on the model.”
