Murray Quoted on Conflict Minerals Ruling
May 19, 2014
Bloomberg BNA Securities Regulation & Law Report
Senior Counsel Frank Murray was quoted in a Bloomberg BNA Securities Regulation & Law Report article published on May 19, 2014, titled “Court Denies Stay of Conflict Minerals Rule; Industry Groups Call on Congress for Relief.” The article examined the impact of and next steps for issuers related to a recent decision by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia denying an emergency motion to stay the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s conflict minerals rules. Murray said that it is unlikely the rule will be stayed for the first filing period, so issuers should be prepared to file their conflict minerals disclosures by the June 2 deadline.
