Of Counsel Mark Neuberger was quoted in a Bloomberg Law News article, “Labor Department Unveils New Overtime Pay Requirements,” about the long-awaited unveiling of a Labor Department proposal to make more workers eligible for overtime pay.
Neuberger said it was a shame the department chose not to update the so-called duties test, whose standards he said are not in tune with the realities of the 2019 workplace. Streamlining the standards could lessen a lot of needless litigation for employers, he added.
