Of Counsel Mike Lappin was quoted in a Milwaukee Business Journal article, “Former top Advocate Aurora exec Lappin joins Foley & Lardner,” about his decision to change careers.
Lappin, who joined Foley’s Milwaukee office Monday as a member of the Transactions Practice Group, said he decided late last year that he wanted to try something new. He also said he was familiar with Foley because the firm was one of the biggest serving as outside counsel for Advocate Aurora Health, where he previously served as chief administrative officer.
“I decided to pursue a different path,” he said.
Mike Okaty, co-chair of the firm’s transactions practice, said Lappin’s extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, together with his long tenure at Advocate Aurora Health and its predecessor, Aurora Health Care, “will afford our clients with unmatched health care transactional know-how.”
