Cassandra Georgantas defends clients in complex commercial disputes across a wide range of industries, including renewable energy, oil and gas, oilfield services, industrial chemical manufacturing, and supply chain services. Her trial experience includes defending companies in both Texas state court and federal court and in arbitration. Ms. Georgantas also has experience representing clients in multidistrict litigations.

In addition to her commercial litigation practice, Ms. Georgantas also defends clients in complex international investigations and government enforcement actions involving anti-money laundering (AML), economic sanctions (OFAC), arms controls (ITAR), dual-use exports (EAR), firearms and explosives (ATF) and other national security laws. Her experience in these areas spans roles representing clients in U.S. Government enforcement actions involving alleged Russian oil smuggling, illegal transactions with Iran, and the prohibited proliferation of space and satellite technologies.

Outside of her legal practice, Ms. Georgantas serves on the Advisory Board for the Houston Journal of International Law. Prior to joining Foley, Ms. Georgantas was a judicial intern for Justice Lynn N. Hughes of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas. She drafted judicial opinions, provided briefings on case details, and attended hearings.
