Louis Thorson is an associate with Foley & Lardner LLP and a member of the Environmental Regulation Practice.
During law school, Mr. Thorson was a summer associate with Foley (2008). His experience also includes serving as a law clerk to Magistrate Judge Patricia Gorence of the United States District Court, Eastern District of Wisconsin and as a judicial intern to Judge Diane Sykes of the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
Mr. Thorson earned his law degree from Marquette University Law School (J.D., magna cum laude, 2009) where he was an articles editor and on the editorial board of the Marquette Law Review. He was also on the executive board of the Marquette Moot Court Association and a participant in the National Moot Court Competition. Mr. Thorson earned a bachelor’s degree from Marquette University (B.A., magna cum laude, 2006).
He authored an article titled, "Same-sex Divorce and Wisconsin Courts: Imperfect Harmony?" which was published in the Marquette Law Review (2009).
Mr. Thorson is admitted to practice in Wisconsin.
